PostSubject: The '77 Pink Bug   The '77 Pink Bug EmptySun Jun 24, 2007 8:18 pm

Well, after very little nagging from me, Dave has started back on my car this weekend. I think the possiblity that i might sell it has given him a bit of a push to try and get it done for me.

For those who don't know what my car looks like, heres a few pics of her in all he glory!

The '77 Pink Bug DSC00171
The '77 Pink Bug DSC00170
The '77 Pink Bug DSC00172

She looks a bit sorry for her self in those pics but shes still beautiful!

Anyways, what Dave has done to her this weekend is....

Bought and fitted a new interior

The '77 Pink Bug RachsBug005
The '77 Pink Bug RachsBug008
The '77 Pink Bug RachsBug004

Painted her floorpan

The '77 Pink Bug RachsBug003

Fitted new wing mirrors

The '77 Pink Bug RachsBug001

Fitted new doorhandles

The '77 Pink Bug RachsBug002

Fitted the wipers

The '77 Pink Bug RachsBug007

And fitted a new throttle cable, after he stole mine to fix his bug. How many throttle cables can you break in a week thou??

What i've done to her this weekend..

Hung some pretty flowers in her that i bought at Bristol

The '77 Pink Bug RachsBug006

Whats still left to do...
Fit Engine
Fit Carpet
Fit 1 Headlight
Fix brakes
Paint wheels, and bolt on bits
Fit running boards
Buy/Fabricate some bumpers
And fit all the pretty pink sparkly shiny bits i've collected over the past 3 years, including but not limmited to a pink poodle, pink jeweled tax disc holder, pink fluffy steering wheel cover.Plus it will also need some striping and maybe some flowers or something airbrushed on.

But hopfully (fingers crossed) my little car will be going to BVF!!! Yay.

Thinking of changing the insurance over to this one, so Daves can come off the road for another re-paint, and as i'm on that insurance as well, it may very well be me driving it!

But at the moment, we just plan to get it on the road by BVF and do that one, then i'll decide whether or not to keep it. Its all very unceratin at the mo as depends on a few things as to whether or not i sell it.

Been out tonight and fitted back up the dash bits, carpet, properly fitted the front seats and cleaned up the headliner! Apart from a stereo, I think the interior's finished!... well, for now! afro

I was nice to see Rach sat in it... She seemed sooooo happy with it! Very Happy
