67' Super mint OG ozzy bug

At last i have given the bug that she has wanted and been waiting for!
It has taken a while to get one, but i am well happy with it!!
Since we started looking for a new bug i fell in love with the '60's style. From that point on it was '60's or nothing! (expensive taste!!!!)
So heres the stats:

Its 1967, 1285cc and fully original!
Only done 54187 miles!!!!!!!!!
Its oringal paint colour is savannah beige and that is what is still on it but ratty!!!!!!!
Has never been welded, painted or messed around with!
I have got the original service book with all the stamps and dates of service.
It states the first owners name and address. It is from Canberra ACT from the Gregg Cusac garage LTD who were official VW agents in the area.
It also comes with the maintainence book on how everything works!!

Ive droped it, put on 145 up front and 225 on the rear, fitted a 1600 lump with twin 36 webbers, and turbo trip exhaust and merged pipes,
Put on a few bits of bling and given the brakes a full overhaul.
Gotta get a amp and speakers in her soon as we are gonna run an ipod setup for the tunes!
Should be up and ready and road worthy soon...

Yeah i get a letter through the door from the council and the planning department at the door..

After a long time, and many hours of 12 volt converting, lowering, interior work and loads of other bits, it finaly went for a mot today and... Failed Not on much though, side light bulb and a loose king pin.. thats all..... happy with that! all being pressed out and new pressed in this week, retest monday!!!
Than get it registered, and see you at the show,s will be in show and shine at jambo for sure!!!!!!!!

All good, passed the MOT with ease 2nd time round
Waiting for all the legal bits n pieces now to come through the post, then it will be ready for the road...

Well its all done and road legal, on her birthday too, for added effect
Got a call from DVLA saying all document were ok and chassie number match up ect, and number plates have been issued


Bought her a polished stainless rack to go up top so looks real cool now, also got some wax oil and hamerite for the floors above and below so gotta do that ASAP.

Found some archive pictures of the bug when it was in a yard in austrailia,
I met the bloke who owns the yard in oz, callednick, he is over here with staying with Southwest splitz at the moment so took the bug over for him to see.

Its looking mint sat there, note it hasnt got the dent in the roof

On our way down to jambo in august, i pressed on the brake pedal and had nothing. Blew the master cylinder, so its been off the road since i A Framed it home from there..

So its now time to fix the bits ive wanted to for ages.

After much talk ive got my 1914 motor ready to go in!
Gonna send the tinware off for shot blasting and powder coated.

Got the Disk kit for the front,along with some dropped spindles,
Also got a new set of running boards and a porsche dual circuit master cylinder for added stopping power. (cheers scoops)

Its all gonna be done in the next couple of weeks so its ready for a crimbo cruise or 2

Well been doing the bug slowly as the weathers so crap, but got the master porsche 944 master cylinder i got from scoops bolted in place and modifyed to fit, bolted on a CB disk and dropped spindles kit http://www.cbperformance.com/catalog.asp?ProductID=1140
narrowed the beam, got all my steering rods shortened, bled the system, turned the steering and as the flex hose was a bit short it caught the steering arm and tore it So i now gotta get some new hoses custom made as i cant find any stock ones long enough.

Have got pic's but they are stuck on my phone and ive lost my bluetooth dongle so cant get them off

Should be done by the weekend with a bit of luck!

Get down HEL on the Tedburn road (old A30) and ask them to make up the hoses to the length you need. Good lads down there and they'll see you right.
