| thoght i would update this as its back up and running again, i then had a good idea the central heating power flushing pump i have i thought i wonder if that will connect on to those hoses a bit of adaption with some copper fittings and hey presto one pressure cleaned cooling system old un out ready to be stripped once it makes it in to the shed old box out may go for rebuild if i get enough spare cash one month the power flush in action, i was surprised just how much shit and rust there was in such a small system compared to a house. i didn't get anymore pictures of the re-install as it was getting late but idid get it finished in one day and back on the road just needs the mixture and timing setting to finish it off. | |

| that flush is something i need to do, ive been told the main reason for the t3 getting hot is the rad building up with corrosion and crap, have you noticed it cooler ?? | |

| powerflushing the rad is probably a bad idea ...as it will push all the loose stuff around and block the tiny waterway's up in the rad ............youd be better off using a more sympathetic method | |

nooo nooo no, have you ever tried to change a rad on one of these fooking vans, it will be fine the pump can change directions of the flow and it drops all the shit and rust in to the bottom of the machine, besides which i left the drain hose open so all the rust and crap that came out on the first go went straight down the drain and the same on the second go in the opposite direction. then did a third go with clean water then did the heater matrix seperatly. seems to be working fine now but i only got the new connector for the temp sender on there yesterday i dont think it has a stat in it as the temp only went to the top of the 1st white marker just off the bottom of the gauge carl didi your van use to be a petrol converted to Diesel as the Diesel has a different rad i think (more rows or something like that) | |

| I use the powerflush machiene nearly every day ....if I don't isolate combi's from the machiene ...it blocks the plate heatexchanger up in no time .....the waterway's are also small in your van rad .....glad yours is ok ,but I wouldn't recommend to to others .. | |

| spent a couple of hours this morning stripping out the rest of the interior. as i don't use it as a camper all i want is the rock n roll bed and the fridge for some beer. i did find a part wiring loom that turned out not to be attached to anything at either end of the van, poss from when had a goof gti lump in it. i also cut out the 1/4" thick steel plates welded to the floor, for the seats from when it was a mini bus | |
