End of March Meet

no worries dude i will meet you at the garage again for about 20 past 7 if thats cool

i am getting the insurance sort next week and then when i get back at 1pm on friday streight to the post office to get some tax. you think it will be ok to run with tax 2 days before the 1st?

empty the van of the welder and all the other junk in it, set the timing charge the batterys, sort some tunes, tune the carbs.

any one from clevedon or portished wont to go up together?

Unless you get them to start the from the start of march you'll lose a month but will be legal to drive

IF you chose to drive without displaying a valid tax disc, and you get pulled by the police, at the discretion of the police officer on duty, you MAY get done for not displaying a valid tax disc. You would NOT get done for not having any tax (a seperate offence) as long as you applied for tax the very next day, covering you from the beginning of the month.

I dont think anybody will tell you to drive without tax, but many may wink at you as they say it.

I am well gutted that I am not going to be there........

Me and Dave won't be there. Its his mums birthday so gotta do the family thing.

Might call in at the full quart on our way home if its not too late.

Well, we were thinking about this. Take our mother out for a nice family meal for her birthday. Go to a nice country pub; I dunno, say, the Full Quart. I hear its quite good.

Could everybody in the club sing happy birthday to our mum?

Bloody stupid idea. Its her birthday, not an excuse to go out with the club. Somethings are have to take priority over cars.

Get the old rocker covers on, see if that stops the leak. As other people have said, bolt up rocker covers are notoriously shite!!!

ive got normal ones and have no probs but it still leaked on sams with standard carbs but they could be shagged i would set the valve gaps and buy new stock rocker covers clips and cork gaskets cant go wrong

Try the simplest things first and do one at a time is the answer. Process of elimination....
