latest update ......decklid had some repairs ....like spotwelded plates over rust ....good repair back in the day ...but it made the inside of the decklid look bad , so i drilled out the spot welds and cut out the rust ...

like i said this was a good repair ....however it just goes to show how ,if you sndwhich to metal plates together rust will still form ....butt weld everything ...and you won't go far wrong

I then baremetaled...rustproofed ....galvafioded ...and stone chipped the hard to reach areas ....which normally get forgotten ...the underside of the channels the underside of the luggage area and the underside of the spare wheel well/ bonnet area ......

the stonchip paint did react slightly with the galvafriod paint .....but i'm sure it will last a long time .....theses areas still have the top coak 2K paint to go yet Very Happy

bonnet in paint ....along with the repaired decklid .....not great paint as all the dust blew into it ....so sanding and polishing will take a while

Looks great buddy and you really wouldn't know you'd put those repairs in the decklid looks spot on....

Shame all the welding wire thats gone into it has made it so fookin heavy lol! lol!
