The Dirty Serb.....

Well here he is, the dirty serb!
Driven straight over from serbia, delivered to work by the owner all for the grand old sum of £2200... not bad i thought...
With 328,000kms on the clock i was expecting a tea bag but all it needs for the mot is a couple of tyres, brake pads and the outriggers doing... there's the odd scab, unsuprisingly, but it'll do for the summer and i'll tackle the bodywork over the winter.... First jobs are getting the mot done (will @ castlemills is doing the honours), getting the bugger a bit closer to the floor (or installing a step ladder) and giving it a good going over before taking it to glastonbury..... Wurz...

MOT imminent.... bought a new exhaust via evilbay, £20 for quad tips - bit OTT but the old one was essentially dust, held together with mud...

As soon as she's back from the workshop she's going to be beaten with the lowering stick... just got a well earned bonus from work so i'm happy to blow a chunk of it!

Then its merely registering, taxing and insuring and giving the old girl a shakedown ready for glasto....
The plans are to keep her looking as stock as possible but as low as possible, as "resto cal" as a 78 can be...

Keeping my eye out for chrome original bumpers & over riders, another roof rack for the front and a few other shiney trinkets....

i know, i was outbid on a set at the weekend and they went for £82, i thought that was cheap...!
Looks like on thursday i've to got drive to birmingham to pick up the seats and then straight to St Albans for the wheels...

what seats are in the van at the moment, highbacks?

no, just standard... can you find a home for them once i've put the others in? i'll be using the runners but the seats will have to go as i've no space for them....
you've got 1st dibs if you want them.

the new wheels are going off for powder coating this week and should have the old girl back on the road at the weekend.... need to fit the new seats as they're currently infront of my telly, perfect playstation seats but the Mrs doesn't approve!

All being well i'll be fitting the new seats on friday so i'll send you a pic of the old ones.
