| After selling my 75 bay I needed another bus to play with and tart up as before. Was looking at a few options fro T5 transporter, Low light bay's and a few others. But id seen what ive always wanted sitting in the corner of Gav @ South West Splitz barn.. A small rear hatch splitty! After some dodgy dealing i put down the deposit and secured my self a new toy! I only had 1 week to strip out my old bus, and fit out the split in time for our first EAC camping trip and get it MOT'd, Taxed and Insured, but as it was up to normal SWS standard's it cost me £6.50 to get it through an mot test..RESULT!!!! It was brough over from america a few years ao in to Germany, where it was used as a fire engine crew bus, Then imported by SWS in to englandthen sold to a chap in newton abbot, then it came back a few years later as the original buyer's situation had changed. Its was strangly painted red over back by hand which ant staying for sure!!! Got a few plans for the bus which we have named WOODY It needs a little bit of panel work but nothing major and is super mint on the underside which is where it counts! Gonna lower it in the next couple of weeks to improve look and handling. Well keep watching as i do have a tendancy to do nothing for months then hit loads at one time and change it lots quickly! Got a set of BRM's being delivered this week and just been and collected my roof rack ladder. Also gonna be dropping it ASAP so it should look like this... Well keep watching as i do have a tendancy to do nothing for months then hit loads at one time and change it lots quickly!

| Latest... Well as i said, do nothing for ages then all at once.. Aint touched the bus since bristol, then this week, i put in my LCD flip down TV, got a new full on stereo system smacked in it, Then got my lowering stick out and beat the crap out of it... Thanks to Rich's old crew cab beam, bolted it straight on, loosened off the adjusters, sat it as low as it would go then tightened them up then dropped the back a couple of splines and bolted on my new brm's Running smart car tyres up front and 165- 65 -15 on the rear, just to keep up my top end speed (like its worth it!!!) But looks better now, gonna run it as is for the rest of the year and see how it goes over the winter... Dont look that low in the pic's but looks better in the flesh Also this weekend im gonna be swapping my exhaust for my mondo fat boy back box and getting my lad's bunk bed sorted out to so he dont have to sleep on the floor like bristol (bad parent!!) | |

| Well after some thought i got my arse in gear and sorted out a bit of an interior ready for the last few shows of the year.. Got given some kitchen top units which are ideal for any bus interior gave them a littlecustomising and after a quick trip to B&Q some new bits n pieces ive now got this as inside me bus... Much more happy with it now and got a bit more storage and some extra inside bling too | |

| Thought i post an update as ive done a few bits on me bus since.. Well, got me a new front US spec towel rail bumper, and repainted the rear one and VW badge to match. New turbo fat boy muffler, put on a set of mini shocks on the front so ive got good suspension travel, bolted in a monster tachometer on the dash. Got hold of a set of moon eyes U.S number plate surrounds and plates to match and bolted them on with a nice set of bullet head bolts. Also wired up a hook up for those winter camping trips, and bolted on a shiney steering box protector (thanx again Rich ) added a set of moon eyes valve covers for my wheels. And finally, put on my new surf label logo on the rear panel for added effect! Ive also got hold of a Stright axel kit and a big ass 1914 motor, fully tuned, big valves, ported and polished, big cam, twin 40 kadrons, full stainless fully merged exaust system with turbo fat boy. Managed to get hold of a turbo for it too, but unsure weather to go with that too, it should be quick enough with out it! | |

| Well thought id post the latest. Taken the bus up to a mates crib, hes hepling out with the straight axle kit. Took out the stock boxes and got the new bug gearbox in, fitted a load of new bits, breaks, clutch, starter, oil seals, return spring, and a ton of other stuff too, saves messing about with it at a later date. Also got the full merged header bolted on. Also gonna take it down in to the weeds a bit more, Just about to order my new beam plates then narrow my front beam and get the nose dwn a bit more | |

| Well, got it back and its MUCH better with the straight axle job, im well chuffed. Ive also done all the brakes front and rear mostly new bit in there, re-done all the oil seals on the gear box ect. Got my old beam, patched up the 2 small holes, welded in a pair of new adjusters in such a place that it is now a slam beam, bare metal'd it then repainted it in black hammerite. Not gonna narrow it for now as im a bit skint as ive spent out on a different pair of toys instead.... SAFARI'S!!! So they are going to be bolted on saturday.... | |
