My Minty

Hi all,
Well, I thought I would start a thread all about my precious Minty.
As you know I bought her earlier in the week for £1800 and although she wasnt exactly what we wanted she is absaloutley solid, which to me was the main thing!!
Shes 1969 and currently has a 1300 engine in her. She will need some cosmetic work to the exterior. She lokoks great in the pics but up close there are a few faults although nothing major.
The main plans for her are:

New interior in cream and green to match her exterior colour
Red rear lenses
Clear front indicators
Wheels (possibly empi 8's)
Eye lids
1600 Engine
Little things such as dixie horn, shiny tax disc holder, door pins etc
and finally a respray to make a real Minter!!!

May put pre 67 wings etc on but not too sure at the mo.

I'll put all the changes I make on this thread so I can keep a record of things, Any feedback positive or negative always welcomed!!

What about bumper over riders ? The 4 that stick up where the bumper mounts connect to the bumpers?
I'm going to be fitting T bars to my bug & have an almost mint set that I will be taking off if they are any good to you at a very reasonable price my dear!

They did do a camper one I wanted to get for Betty but I cant see it now.

Right update for you tan the shitty slow 1300 is out and ive swaped the good heat exchangers for the others,

right engine out


mintys bear


but we need the black seal for the gearbox you can see as we are loosing gearbox oil out of it

Any body help we need a cv boot passenger side and a seal like in picture above

i've got 6 million seal's down the lock-up dude...

May be a boot...... but not sure...

why didnt you say when we come to get dolly ive only saw this post when we got back
