| Havent updated for a while so..... Made up some brackets to hold the sunroof panel in place until we weld it properly. Robbed a scrap Corrado of its Dash heater, cleaned it all out, fitted new Matrix and bolted it up Also got hold of a Mk4 Golf V6 4 motion throttle pedal (flyby), made up a bracket and modified the Corrado pedal box to allow fitting of the mk4 pedal Made up a custom subframe for the seats to bolt to. Only problem with this is the seats wont go back any further due to the seat (ears) hitting cage, and the seat wont go any lower. The position of the seat is perfect for my driving position, but its a bloody mission getting in and out of the seat due to steering wheel and side impact bars being in the way. Im actually worried it could be an MOT failure if the tester cant get in the car. Oh and also got the Electric spoiler working manually. | |

| An update WITH PICS Cage is fully finished, and managed to get it in primer today. What a pig of a job that was. Not looking foward to putting topcoat on And i made up some brackets so that i can re-fit the original dashboard (needed cutting about) but will fit around cage Made up some subframes for the seats, but they just sat too high and was a nightmare trying to get in / out of the car. So had a rethink and made these. I have checked my little blue MSA reg book and it seems legal as ive used correct thickness steel. So hopefully should be ok. Seats now sit perfectly, are plenty low enough and sit further back for my long legs. (still need to drill holes in pic) Modified the exhaust tunnel so i can use the Mk4 Golf cable shifter unit, but mount it inside the car ontop the tunnel, this allows selecting gear much easier when sat in the bucket seats as the shifter is so much higher. And finally fitted the sunroof panel. Did this by making up some temp brackets to hold the steel panel in place, and get the gaps perfect. Then cut some solid bar to fit underneath. The bar is slightly bigger than the gaps. Then welded either side of the bar to prevent the roof warping. So the roof is solid, but to fill the gap ontop we used seamsealer to fill the bulk of the gap, then when that dries will rub it down and put another thin layer ontop. Then once its all dry, sand it down and paint. I dont know how it will look, and i may end up changing my mind afterwards but will have to wait and see how it turns out. More progress tommorow hopefully. | |

| Cracking build. Just wish I had the time to do a build like this. Got the offer of a part finished kit car but know that I cant commit enough time to the build. Keep up the good work. | |

| Cheers. to be honest i havent got the spare time either, i always have to sacrifice something else to go and work on the car, and i wont lie when i say it causes a fair few rows with the wife. Hopefully she will see the effort was worth it when i let her take it round the track a few times. | |

| Havent really done much to this thing for a while due to starting a new job, but managed to do a few little things.. Fitted the seats and loosely fitted the harnesses Modified the Mk4 Golf Shifter, made some straps to mount it (still yet to bolt it in) and re-routed the cables through the bulkhead to the gearbox Hacked apart a Corrado Centre console....... .....so that i could make this to mount my Oil pressure, Oil temp gauges and some switches for fans, fuel pump, etc. (work in progress) | |

| Bought an Engine/running gear-less 'spare' Corrado last weekend for basically beer tokens. It has got all the small parts im missing from the Silver car, i.e. mirrors, door handles, door seals, clips, etc. Shame to break it really as it is so tidy and its a non sunroof shell | |
