| Must be the same height as mine, thought mine was lower than that, perhaps the camera angle trickery... | |

| I decided I needed to recommission SuperDry today. Rolled her out on to the drive, checked the wheel bolts from last week. Popped the shifter off and packed the socket full of grease and refitted it. Went to start it up and despite having a new starter on there and a brand new battery, whilst it put the red dash lights on, when I turned the key they dimmed, but there was no noise from the starter etc. When I had a bit of a nose at the earth cable from the battery I found this. I think there was a distinct lack of current being able to flow through this! Swapped it out for a pukka braided earth strap and it fired up instantly. Took it out for a drive, and broke down within 10 minutes. Had a bit of a nosey around and found the problem. A the back if the fusebox I'd piggybacked a feed for the tacho, and the spade connector had come off, taking with it the connection for the ignition switch. D'oh!! | |

| I was pleased with the CSP shifter but there was an issue in that there was no lockout for reverse. So going to second from third could be a pain. Had a quick look in the Haynes and I've realised I'm missing a lock plate Number 9 (and the Spring (8 )) I'll have shufty around the autojumble today.

| I think there was one of those plates from my 71 bay in a box of old tat that Gunge had from me before we moved.
Might be wrong, might not be!

| Just ordered a new set of belt line trim clips and screws. Fingers crossed they come whist I'm off.
Gonna pop the over-riders off and fit the shagged bumper trim too.

| So, the CSP shifter still wasn't set up 100% so I thought I'd have another look. Upon inspection it seemed that the pin that retracts when the thumb button was pushed on the top of the shifter wasn't clearing the reverse stop plate underneath. I've added a couple if washers between the plate and the shifter base and it's much better, however, I think I need to tweak up some fasteners in the shifter base. Am I right in thinking these are torq screws? I can buy the bits/drives (whichever) tomorrow and have another look tomorrow night. I'm determined not to let this shifter beat me and I'm fed up finding reverse instead of second when changing down. Didn't get the pillar spot, bumper trim or beltline trim on yet though..... | |

| Torx security bits, with a pin in the middle. Your bit needs a hole in the middle to fit. | |

| if you dont have security tor-x bit you can use a strong flat bladed screw driver and break the pin off, if you dont have a normal tor-x bit then an allen key will work | |
