| Whilst I had a spare couple of hours this afternoon, I thought I'd whip off the front and rear bumpers and give them a quick clean down. The insides of them were starting to pit and rust up, so I wire brushed them down and gave them a coat of primer and hammerite each. Heres the inside after I wire brushed all the loose scabby rust. Heres the inside coated with primer! This ones of the rust coming through the plating. My front bumper is sill the original but the rear has been replaced, alot lighter and rusts like a bi**h in the cold damp weather. Here I am hard at work! However it did pay off! More pixies tomorow as the shoxs are going on! |

| Disaster....... Me being my normal self got all excited, and went and bought these shoxs that I though would be right. That wasnt the case. The one I bought were for a lowered vechile, but as ive only lowered my car using the spindles not the beam, the car still thinks its stock height. Check out the difference. Its not the end of the world as i didnt spend a fortune on these, but my car still scrapes like anything when ive got 2 or more people in. So thats not happening! As im off next week, perhaps my pops might feel inclined to sell the old shoxs and try and replace with new ones. Dont know if anyone would know whether it would help me, (Dan, Rich, Dave), but my stock shocks that i took off were pretty shot to pieces. They didnt even work like a damper, they dont retract back out on there own, and pushing them in u can do in less than a second with ur pinky! Would a new stock damper cure my boncy problems, instead of an aftermarket one? Any advice would be good! |

| If your shox were that goosed even a set of new ones would be a huge improvement. Are you going to keep it at that height or are you going to drop it a bit more with the addition of adjusters?? | |

| It just sounds like your shock absorbers aren't absorbing shocks, which falls under the heading of f@#ked + vat |

| ha, thanks Harv.
Maybe ill go for just some new stock shoxs. Hopefully whilst im away, my dad is planning to have a fiddle on the bug and take the beam off. He'd like to try and narrow it slightly and possibly put the adjusters on aswell!, Dont know whether id go much lower, I scrape everywhere as it is! |
