They do indeed, I couldnt believe how much!! mind you it is a lot of unit to fill!!

I have been getting through 1 gallon of diesel every 2 hours of constant use!! lol

Im going to play out the unit tonight, I might re-start the doors!! lol

I bought a couple of rattle can stone chip in the week, so thought I would do the inside of the wings.

That stuff is interesting to work with!!!







Sorry about that!!! its the first time I have seen any sort of colour in my resto!! lol.
I managed to spray 3 wings with the 2 tin of stone chip but they may need further coats.

Next I thought I had better fit the door that I bought off ebay (one was a good door the other is not so good, so I am going to run with the door I had started repairing on the drivers side.

I am happy with the fit of the new door and will try the other door on after the repair to make sure it still fits.




Then disaster struck!!!! The heater ran out of fuel and fuck me did it get cold last night!! -2 so I buggered off home

Looking good there bud should be all finished in a couple of weeks!

Errrrmm No!! I dont think so!! lol

The other night went out and dragged out the door I had started repairing and took the surface rust off!! lol
Treated it and gave it a think coat of fibreglass to seal it, then rubbed it back



Got the last wing out and stone chipped it.



Masked around the front wheel arch and stone chipped this.




One cool thing that I have gained is I think I have found the colour I want for the side panel.
Stone chip grey (but with a gloss finish) just got to find the right colour for the rest of it now!!

I got some rainbow flake here dude .......go for it , it would look so cool in the first shot of laquer ............mmmmmmmmmmm heavy metal flake ,every time you drive it ,it would remind you of me in hot pants!!

Lol, sold!! I think as I am spraying it myself, I will be chuffed if I can spray it a solid colour, let alone a metalic (I think its beyond my current capabilities!!)

its not really metallic ......you put the flake in the laquer

Got the other front wheel arch done and one of the rears, started the filler on the door but the filler had gone bad (it wasnt that old either!!!) so that slowed me down and the other rear wheel arch has bits that need looking at before I can stone chip.

I fucking hate the smelly, fucking, dusty, bloody cock suck mother fucking wanky bloody stuff!!!!!!!!!

How can I get it so wrong every time!!!! I watch shorty and he gets a lump of it, mixes in a reasonable amount of hardner, mixes and spreads it on, he seems to have loads of time to shape it and get it mostly even!! Not me, I try exactly the same, try skimming it and shaping it only to have it look like I put it in with a bloody fork!! then it starts going off before I can finish shaping it evenly, then it doesnt seem to go off!!!!!!!!

I am well and truly knobbed off with it!! (if you hadnt guessed!!)

You had a rewarding and successful night up the unit then dude.


Keep at it buddy it will all be worth it in zee end!

how much filler do you have left?

Loads left, I bought a 5ltr. I just can seem to put in it very well. Every time I try and do it slightly different with the same result everytime!! So frustrating!! lol

I know how you feel dude, I'm trying to re skin the bottom of my door after Nomates fucked it up!

.......I shut the door ,a huge slab of filler fell out .....I passed it back to him through the window

It was a plant! no filler in my car!

Lol, as usual, shorty made it look easy and has done me proud again!!

It still hadnt gone off so we had to get the old out (well shorty did as I couldnt get out for ages!!) Thanks again.

Then start from scratch.
I found I was guilty of not mixing the filler first for one, not putting in enough hardner (which also thins it for application), but he does make it look easy!!.
anyway the first fill is in for shaping and it already looks 1 million times better than my attempt!!
