OMG!!! I started flatting down the roof, I spent 3 hours lightly rubbing in small circles and only got it half way ready. My shoulders are in bits today!!!
I AINT LOOKING FORWARD FOR TOMORROW EITHER AS THEY ARE USUALLY WORSE THE SECOND DAY!!

Oh fucking Caps lock!! lol

wet flatting is my favourite
I remember sam and i doing 12hrs solid wet flatting a split... we were absolutely fucked afterwards

I have been flatting out the roof for the last few visits!! Its finally getting there on the roof but as its been in filler primer for so long, its taking a while to flat down. Im sure it will be worth it in the end!! lol

I will get some pics up soon.

I have fixed the pics at the start of my thread!! yey!! they all work again now, just been reading through it and seeing how far its come. (I'm quite amazed even if I say so myself!!)

Im off out the unit to play.

If anyone fancies popping over for a brew, bring a cup and biscuits!!

I shall be mostly not going to the unit this week as its too fecking cold out there!!
However, things are progressing nicely with my flatting down of panels.
I still need to get filler primer on the bonnet, dec lid and front wings. (which I plan to do the weekend after next.)

updates.....

Not been out since I was wet flatting and the panel I was working on froze as I put the water on it!!!

Going to try and get out there one day this week.

Anyone who enjoys flatting is more than welcome to pop there heads in!! lol

Going to try and get out the unit after new years.

Spent 4 hours with my hand in a cold bucket of water today (found some more bits that need redoing!!!)

Most of the body flatted now, still got to high build the bonnet, deck lid and front wings!! And finish the doors

I like the bugselecta rendering. Should be a looker when its done

It would also be warmer if I could get the space heater working!!! lol

Got given another space heater, this one only being 3 years old and a diesel one.

Stripped it down, found some busted bits, replaced with new and.............



HEAT!!!!

I have been flatting the body back on the bug for a while now, and most of it is done now, well with the few bits that I need to redo!!! I have found a couple of places that need rubbing down, filling and re-priming.






With my new found heat in the unit, I decided it was time to get the wings, bonnet and deck lid in filler primer.

Got a couple of lovely runs in the wings but they will flat back!! lol







I need to finish off the bits on the shell, then start on the doors. Hopefully not long until top coat going on!!

Cheers Steve, I am going to pop over the unit toinght on my way to Worle and have a good look at them.
I was really pleased with how the deck and bonnet came out, although there is a run on the deck, it kid of covered a bit where I have a pin hole, so all good.
The wings however, I did get a little carried away with!! lol.

I had a quick look at colour charts the other day in the panel shop and could not find a colour I liked!!! bugger!!

Lol, Im not talking about the rib either!! lol

Same heater we have in the unit. They dont half kick out some heat.
Resto is looking good fella
