| Well, thought it was about time i put up a resto thread about my latest. The kids named her Sky cos of the pale blue paintwork. Ive had her 2 mths now & bought her as a project with the idea of gettin her ready for CTTP Well, due to a very annoying mot tester that didnt happen, but after 4yrs off the road she was up & rolling again within 4 weeks. I was so damn busy that while replacing pretty much all the brakes (metal pipes, flexi's, shoes, cylinders), a fair bit of the front suspension & welding up the spare wheel well & various bits of floor.....I forgot to take any pics She was sposed to be at the mid month but yet again the "debut curse" struck again......engine clattering like a maraca in a washing machine! So the 1st pic in this thread is gonna be from today.....Engine out!! | |

| this is how she looked "as found".....I'd been driving past this front garden for the past couple of years & finally decided to stop & knock on the door. After the 3rd time of stopping & talking to the old lady owner....the deal was done & she came back to Impy Plaza | |

| .....& heres how she looked after 3 weeks of grinding, welding & spannering. With a bit of added bling in the shape of repainted off-white steelies, babymoons & gravel guards. | |

nice ride
well worth keeping and getting the engine done, summers coming - nice prom cruiser dunno bout bumpers.....could stick with the Europa's but they are a bit "heavy" lookin if you know what i mean. Dont think you should make later models look older with blades (but each to there own) I like T-bars for simplicity but it dont go with the resto-cal ethos......decisions decisions

| Cliff. I have got a pair of Europas you can have for £20. They have a little surface rust but would clean up ok I reckon. They were brand new 3 years ago and have just sat in a garage. I reckon get the bumpers on there dude and get it slammed once the engine is sorted. | |

Thanks scoops, i do have the OG europa's in the shed but aint put em on' cos the old lady owners son (who was trying to get the car back on the road) snapped off pretty much all the retaining bolts when he removed em'! Ive got a lot of drilling & stud removing to do Thanks for the cool response guys
