| Thought i had better put some news up, stopped working on bug in june 2008, busy with work and quite dissillusioned with the scene and work averaging 12 plus hrs a day. Took my family to australia in august for the month and travelled around. I just never seemed to have time since or the inclanation to get on with it.
i have had some time off work, and have started working on the bug again, after going to the first meet of the year seemed to ignite the spark to start working again on the bug. i have now started to build my 4 inch narrowed beam, with cb dropped spindles, discs, new calipers etc.
Hopefully the possibility of a unit with gungy and will able to get on with it again and finally get it welded up.
andy

| I have been quite busy over last few days, narrowed the front beam 4" , by chopping 6" out the middle, adding 2 sway aways, and re-locating beam mounting brackets to correct position, , converting damper mount from l/h, drive to r/h drive. Beam has standard bearings fitted so no urethane bushes. Now off to get powder coated with other bits. also have welded in n/s/f inner 1/4 panel, inner front panel, outer front panel and fitted front wings. ordered some bumper conversion brackets from status as later 1/4 panels fitted. front end looks good and fits well, nice gaps around bonnet. pics to follow as never had camera at time. | |

| less pressure on the bearings on the alt, as more area of contact with v-belt compared to a standard belt.
got my tyre today, 205/65 rear, and 145/65 front. pirelli, no curb savers, look much better. | |
