Im lookin for my 1st aircooled & kinda got a hankering for something different......trekker, fastback or a baja.......gotta be cheap, but I can weld & I spent 7 years workin as a mechanic for Honda, so a tatty project would be no probs!

I assume you've looked through the For Sale section on VZi? Theres quite a few on there, some of them for about 1k. Theres also a few cheap project beetles on there. I've also seen a glassfibre baja kit on ebay currently at £60 or something rediculous like that.

Yep, saw the kit on fleabay & have had a good look on VZi (thanks for the headsup anyhoo).
keep yer eyes peeled locally for me folks (other peoples unfinished projects, stuff on the side o the road, car lots.....anything like that)
Im keepin an eye on the local free-ads & such, but thought word of mouth from other DBS's might turn somethin up Wink

Ive seen a T3 fastback in Brizzol at a good price, its a project but do-able & im seriously thinkin about it.

Thinkin nose down stance, satin black with flamed front, moon discs & possibly crazy clown ratter motif on the hood....what d'ya reckon???

But I have an eye on a 1303 bug (yeh I know, not the prettiest but good as a daily) & i got a German look feelin comin on!!! afro

It needs some brake calipers up front & a 1600+ engine, any1????

well, ive sort of acquired a 73 1303 beetle (deal still bein sorted but cheap!!) Cool

I know there not every1's cuppa tea but I want to use it as a daily (& possibly german look the ass off it Laughing

)

As mentioned, it needs brake calipers & the 1300 lump in it smokes like a trooper so a set of 1641 barrels/pistons would be nice!! afro

Keep y'all posted about it & put up some pics when I officially acquire it!!
