| If it makes you feel better the cab door winder mech was a pain in the arse to fit, as had to remove most of the door trim, guide track and quarterlight and then some!
Also claimed most of the skin on my knuckles ..

| Carpeted under the passenger seat today and tidied up the wiring. thanks to wizbiz for lending a hand nearly all wires hidden away. Sorted out annoying twist I had in the Porsche seat belt also. Just got to do drivers side next. Re-greased front beam and swivel pin (as thought may aswell as I'd done Scoops' bus) ; found passenger top shock bolt a touch loose in the process so that's done now!! gonna make a buddy seat up behind the drivers seat in the week - might hide a few goodies in it for the kids on the long journey south.. no pics at the mo... will get some when drivers side carpet done. | |

| forgot to mention: this carpet was put into the bus before the resto, so has old seat mounting point hols, most are covered by the new seat rails. Also... Thinking of making something a bit like this: (Hotrod, earlybay.com - awesome thread btw) maybe hidden tv, but might opt for a popup one, so it's inline with the back of the porsche headrest... any thoughts... anyone made one before? also got dimensions off early bay got a load of spare ply.. as orginally used it as the main load area floor and behind both driver and backing seats.. hopefully enough. | |

| yep you already did! cheers dude. still scratching my head a bit over the best way to mount the lcd screen.
audio through the aux in on the stereo etc..
need to look at inverters, although the screen is an 12v DC 4.61 Amp input via a transformer from mains.. although the dvd player/console will have to be inverted.

| todays efforts... made a bracket of the screen made the backrest and top cover (hinged) test fitted in van (screen hidden from view) top lid open screen in up position taken all apart and varnished refitted in van and all power cables ran behind side panels to inverter under rear seat you will not see the screen when the seat is trimmed.. storage under seat and power (for ps2 slimline etc) Inverter under rear seat have run 8AWG cable to leisure batt. with connectors under seat. I will put in a 40amp fuse near the batt and a main cut off switch mounted through the seat base, as when kids in child seats.. the last thing I want to do is undo it all to lift the rear seat each time they want it on... Fitting PS2 etc tomoz and upholstering seat cushions. Will look into motor for lift at some point.. | |
