They will be the ve wib ones, they are really good, when i bought my seal kits from heritage , they came with a mixture of genuine and ve-wib, very good.

it pays in the end, i replaced ball joint rubber dust caps last night as mine had started to perish and split, i have not even driven it yet.

The bus is still in the workshop, but here a few sneak previews of what's been going on....

Front end before: note the panel behind the bumper was left as primer by the previous owner.. quality! Shocked

Shorty's '71 Early Bay - Page 5 920a68dc

After... lower panel sorted and grill colour coded...

Shorty's '71 Early Bay - Page 5 B7f0ec9a

Door shuts being painted.. also left as primer by the previous owner...

Shorty's '71 Early Bay - Page 5 F9155e06

And the roof now being stripped ready for primer and new paint..

Oh... and remember these...???

Thanks to Lizzie @ Delilahs VW Interiors, they now look like this...

Shorty's '71 Early Bay - Page 5 A6367c0b

also being carried out is the following:

New electric screenwash bottle
New horn
New rear brakes and handbrake cables
And the inside of the cab doors have also been painted as one of those was left as primer too!

Looking good mate!
I'm tempted to give my pop-top/roof a respray as it's starting to show some wear and tear.

Where are you getting the work done?

I bought some runners to go in the bus.. I bought them 'just in case' but I'm pretty sure they'll have to be put in...

That'll be the bus going straight back to the workshop very soon then! Laughing

Get a load of silica packets, wrap it all up in industrial cling film and squirrel it in the roof of the garage.
It's the right thing to do.

(I'm not sure I can even get the wardrobe in my loft mind you! )
