| ok ...next update ....we set the ignition up ,and we got spark .......so a couple of parts for the carb and we are ready to start it ......I'll open the windows this time ! whilst griff ,gets some more parts ...I started the front leg shields ....they looked like griff had pulled them out of his bottom ...... I reckon theres a weeks work to do these nicely ....so after I TIG welded them up ,ground them and panel beated them I filled them ,difficult because both sides need to be straight ,as they are both on show ...I forgot his ,found a dent ,twated it with the panel beating hammer .....just to see it again on the opposed side ....lol.... one days work so far Gungy eat your heart out ...lol | |

| griff I'm struggling to paint the leg shields .......this isn't because of effort and ability ...(well it is a bit ) ......there is a problem that has affected the painting of said part .......
we've ran out of grey paint ......lol
I've thinned it right down ,and i'll see if it covers it enough , problem is I have to paint a real good thickness as all the dust from my garage lands in it ,and it takes a few layers off trying to polish and flat it out afterwards.....lol
oh well .....monday will tell ,pop round and give me your opinion dude | |

| griff found some seat covers ....I had to paint the ends of the passenger grab handle ....they were probably black ,but I talked griff into painting them the same colour as the body ,as I thought they would look better this colour ......the seat covers are about £80 for the pair ....but griff found a repo set for £20 ....the only problem was that they don't come with innocenti badges on the back ......so we are going to pop rivet the original ones to the repo ones ......oh and a mouse has eaten the drivers one ......but they fit nice and look the biz ....I have placed the leg shields on ....they were only painted today ......and my front room bloody stinks of 2k paint .....i quite like the smell tbh .....lol | |

| this morning I used my lathe to machine the rear hub cone ......as the one on the bike was so worn you could rock the rear hub about an inch side to side ,the only new cone griff could get was too thick ,as his bike is a very early model ,so I shortened it ,and changed the angle of the cone too ,it fits great now ......I just really need to see these leg shields on with the trim in place | |

| after the leg shield trims .....the next job is to cut off the handle bar grips .....tig weld the metal tubes to the gear and throttle bars ,as these have worn over the years .......and have loads of end float in them ,then put on new grips ....and fit and line up the rear foot plates .....then fit the rear brake pedal and cable ......then we will be near firing up time | |
