| im thinking of dumping the golf in the weeds but which way is better, coilovers or lowered springs? cant make my mind up! | |

| i think coil overs would be better but watch out for the anti roll bar hitting the drive shafts, common problem when lowering mk4 golfs. | |

Yup, Mk4's are a pain for fouling roll bars. Depends what coilovers you go for and what you want from the car. For out ad out handling i would recommend lowered springs and Koni top adjustable shocks. You can buy cheap ebay coilovers (hottuning or raceland i think they are called) but in all honesty they are what you would expect from cheap coilovers... shite. Ideal for dropping your car in da weeds but it will handle like poo and give you back ache in seconds. If your budget can stretch to £350+ then get some good coilovers. | |
