PostSubject: fealey - just registered   fealey - just registered EmptySat Mar 31, 2007 3:23 pm

hi all,

just registered here today.

my name's pete (fealey) and i came along to the meet yesterday with Rick & Sharon.

I was chatting in the pub last sunday with Rick and mentioned air-cooled vee-dubs, and of course heard he had not one, but two. he said i should come along to a friday meet, and get to know a few of the members - and as promised, all seemed like decent chaps/chapettes.

i'm hoping to buy either a type 2 or a bug, and will have roughly £1500 to spend.

currently drive a not so air-cooled Golf, and not sure it warrants posting a picture, besides which, some cretin thought they'd drive into my passenger door last weekend.

anyway, some purchasing advice would go down a treat, as to be honest I love the vehicles, but don't have a danny where to start looking!

thanks for the warm welcome. yes i'm the one with the stupid hair; and arrived with rick, who announced my arrival with "haircut 100's here" Rolling Eyes

good to see i can get myself a decent bug with £1500. just have to finish moving house and wait for my bonus payment from work and i'm there!

however i feel a bit guilty leaving a car that won't be my daily outside all the time - i won't have a garage.

anyway, i'll keep my eye out on ebay/autotrader and guage some opinions on any rides that take my fancy.

Welcome to you Pete!
Good to see you've come on board dude bounce

What happened to you and the other White Label boys & girls last nite? Did you all slope off early? It was a good nite & we got very 'merry' ending up with Sharon & me eating pizza round Ryan's flat at stupid o'clock! drunken
