Im looking for an older beetle pre 70, 1500cc, i want one that is orginal as possible, i dont mind travelling if it is the right bug, and im not in any hurry so i can wait for the 'right' bug.

(pre 70 and 1500cc are preferable but if you find something a bit special, that you think is worth a look post it up)

Price is not issue but nothing 'over' priced please lol!

Thanks

(p.s if you pm me can you put it on this thread that you have pm'ed me cos im one of those lurkers that doesnt log in everytime i look lol! )

That is pricey in the current climate but it looks to be a very honest and original car, so like Andy said would save you long term. I think its probabley a fair price on a whole, ive seen some right horror shows of late that have looked mint. The dishonest cowboy cover up merchants are very much alive and kicking beware, its good that your in no hurry they are out there just be patient and you will end up with the car of ya dreams. Keep an eye on vzi there are some quality motors that turn up from time to time. I will keep an eye out for ya Very Happy

Any prefered year or just pre 70? Suspect

well if i wanted i have enough say for a tidy, mot'ed bay if the right bug came along but like i said cos it is my daily it needs to useable so no silly engine re-builds like bob and no show car plus as prices are all over the place i think i mite be able to find a bargin if i keep looking.

I only put that one up as it ticked the boxes,
pre 70, 1500cc.

looks in good rust free condition, and lots of history with car.

to some this is the best beetle produced, sloping h/lamps, 1500cc engine, taller geared gearbox, disc brakes. etc

its probably worth around the £5 k mark to be honest.
