| I have owned this mk2 tornado red, golf for 6 years. It has never let me down. The car has been serviced regularly- oil and filter changes. A good mechanic who is a VW enthusiast has carried out all work. All work has receipts. 1991 on a J plate 1.6 Ryder Full 12 months Mot Tax Dec 146,300 miles It has never been welded or had any paintwork done. New Weber carb with manual choke – fitted at 135,000 miles  Head rebuilt at 142,000 miles – includes head skim, cambelt, oil and filters etc. New back brake shoes, cylinders and pipes. New genuine VW brake servo Front discs have been upgraded to drilled and grooved ones with green pads. Much more but too much too list. Car is in lovely condition for ages and has made many appearances at several VW shows up and down the country. | Cant believe this is still for sale?! Tidy little mk2. Ideal base car for an engine conversion... anybody?? Hang on a second....... Impy is selling his Sharan VR6...somebody buy that then buy the mk2.... DO IT
