 Pressing the brake increases the idle speed...why?

foot on brake: idles at 1300rpm

lift foot off break: idles at 900rpm


weird. any ideas.

(have checked none return valve and replace rear vac hoses to engine)

yep. have replaced rear hoses, but not looked at the servo yet..

anything I need to check?

I think it is something to do with the servo leaking........but can't quite remember.

damm. new ones are around £220 from heritage.

not good news. Sad

was hoping it was a hose leak.... but it ain't gone away.

what scoops says makes sence .....the manifold leaks causing the engine to run sligtly lean , increasing the idle speed

will re-check all hose connections.

it must be forward of the none return valve/one way valve (so not the balance pipes or connections)

Anywhere do metal 1/4 NPTF vac pipe connectors that screw intot he manifolds to replace the plastic ones.?

Spray some WD40 on the joints and see if there is any difference in engine note.
