Due to the weather being not at it's best, i was forced in to the shed and this is what i came out with after alot hammering grinding welding and measuring a pretty good fitting roof light still not quite fitting how i want so a bit more work and it'll be there

Done a bit more messing with the light and she's great..

Sweet welding helmet dogger! I went up Nicks yard last night to see his '59 crew cab project, looking cool, but in the same yard was a 1980's DENNIS fire engine with a gorgeous chrome searchlight.... was tempted to rob it for your van!

The other side is now in primer as well.. The light just needs a little tickle then it's all done

Here's a quick peak of the other side in primer..



Both carbs are stripped ready for rebuilding..



After all the messing with the light i just couldn't get the shape of the roof spot on

So i put some grease proof paper on the roof marked out where the light was gonna sit, then all around the bottom edge of the light i put filler, then put the light on the grease proof paper with the filler still wet so it moulded to the shape of the roof when it dried i pulled it off and the shape is spot on now

Spray gun bud, cans cost to much

Here we go primed and placed on the roof. Well happy with it





Also put the other 3 bow rack in the place it'll sit once all converted to a full lenght rack

Loving that primer.... a primed van makes me go gooey inside. Glad you got the light to fit, that along with the full length roofy is going to make it look incredible

Not sure when this old girl is gonna be finished now..
I've got 2 weeks to get it sorted then i probably can't touch it for about a month or 2 due to have my driveway bricked by a friend so it's only happening on weekends, then i'm having a drop kerb done as well and untill it's all finished i don't think i'll be able to get on the drive because yep you guessed it i'm LOWERING my DRIVEWAY about 6 inches so the van will be elsewhere

Well i had to buy myself another new spray gun so i had to try it out.. So..
The front panel is now finished and all in primer....

And the rear is nearly ready for priming as well

Is the front in primer yet with your lovely new spray gun
