As I'm suffering with bird flu at the moment, I've not really been up to doing much after a hard days work! No ... Fortunatly work is dead, so that consists of makin parts for the bug! Very Happy



Time for a custom gear shifter! afro

Started off by turning out the components for the bottom of the lever!




Clamped them in the vice then TIG'd em togeather


With the boring bit done time for the fun bit! afro
Heated and then twisted a length of 16mm stainless steel bar! (sorry there's no action pics Rolling Eyes )





I then welded it togeather and gave it a polish!





Still gotta sort out a knob to go on top. Maybe a knuckle duster or dice! Cool
Felt very wierd to use at first, but cool as f*ck!!! afro

It's about 700mm long! affraid I just love that Big Daddy Roth/Old Skool hotrod kinda look!
It'll get a couple of inches trimed off when I sort something to go on the top of it! afro

Finaly got round to doing the other side of the bonet this evening! cheers
... It's pretty much the same as page 1 of this thread, but the pics are from a different angle! lol!

And I did get to use the english wheel to fabricate the repair sections! It made it so much easier! Very Happy
