me and rich played with the seats on sat morning, after sorting a few gremlins last night got it sorted for the heating so now the seats all all warm and electric back rest for adjustment,

monday and tuesday night Andy (Joker67) , worked his magic and we fitted the headliner, well mostly andy did lol, it looks great, I'm so glad he did it, it looks spot on and once the rest of the interior is in its gonna look awesome, we put sound r
deadning in and replaced all the bits that needed replacing so its all sound ! I can't thank him enough for the 2 late nights, it all perfect no sagging creases etc just as I wanted it

haven't really done much on this over christmas, being so busy etc, did get a day though and did a few boring bits,

did the 1000 mile gearbox oil change and thought ill do the engine oil too while I'm there, gave everything a quick check over too, the rear end ride height doesn't seem quite level it might just me being silly if it is its ever so slight , further investigation required on this, gave the motor a clean !, seats still rant in as still got a wiring issue on these !, need to get some heating into the car to and finish the interior and bonnet area,

took the bug for a good old test run and went to southend for few days and she completed just over 400 mile round trip with no problems what so ever !

Burnt some midnight oil last night, door cards arrived so wanted to get them in, got all the inside plastic liner in and the passenger card on !, sun-visors fitted too! re alined the drivers door glass so it closed properly. Replaced my front sidelights with led ones as the old ones were shot ! thanks to Mrswiz for helping out to last night with the door cards !

Wednesdays Jobs are oil change, fix the moistness from oil pressure sender, check fan belt tension, clean engine bay, gearbox oil maybe if i get time, finish passenger door card by putting handle on it , gonna try modify the ash tray to put my electric windows switches in today. Would like to drop the passanger side down 9-10mm as it sitting a smidgen high on that side

big thanks for rich last night for laoing me he garage while it was nailing it down last night,

got the rear end right side down a touch to level the rear up and took the rhs exhaust silencer off to re seal it back on with new clamp

check rear break and hub seal for any leaks etc, non to report !
just the lhs hub seal to replace and clean the brake, and exhaust to reseal and the breather box to fit tonight , plus grease the lhs front beam up and mechanicals sorted for the weekend,

i hope i have time to give quick hoover and clean and wax !

the handling is much better after getting the rear level, in the corners it just felt like the back wanted to go up in the air and go, so it sits hard in the corners !,

its never gonna handle like a porsche but for a beetle i think it handles well ! airport roundabout in the wet all the way round it at 45-50mph
