| Should be able to take it for a quick spin by the end of the weekend, not much left to do to get it moving... and dont get too excited andy... you made the fatal error of saying that you were in charge of electrics! I wouldnt be caught messing about with that sort of thing... Im more into brake lines! |

| have some faith dude (yeah who am i kidding) Oh Just to clarife why me and steve will never use bay area rod is this...... We order the extender for the front beam 6 weeks ago, steve rang up ordered it and the owner side that it would be with us with in the week as they had one in stock. so two weeks later we rang to see if it had been sent or lost or what have you. The owner again said was in stock and would be in the post in the next couple of days. sweet we throught........then 3 weeks past and the 4....still no extender. So we rang again and he gave u some shit that we hadn't spoke to him and was asking for the guy we spoke to......when it was him as we where ringing him on him sodding mobile. He said he was even looking at it and that he had his word that it would be in the post!!! So when phil said last week that he was heading down there he offered very kindly to pick it up for us. We will be ring him again this week you ask for some free stuff as he as total take the p**s!!! | |

I know what your saying dude had a bit of a mare get a set of front wings delivered for my Oval... I think he said his mate has a delivery business so he get's the P+P cheaper that why it's taking so long.. I told him i'll pay for TNT or anything it didn't bother it i want something i want it now.. But i'm down there every week now so i just collect stuff (and can do for anyone else) rather then get him to post it out cos he is normally busy..

yes it is dude my hotrod was the second one to ever make a pass down the strip. the first hotrod bug to do it was at bugjam 19 and it only did 1 run and that was in the 20's (which means mine is also the fastest ) so far there has never been race between two hotrod bugs at santapod. we would make a small bit of history

| Right me and steve would love to get the car there for bug jam but to do some we may need some help from you guys!
The is filling and sanding to be done, a bit of welding, sorting the brakes out and getting some light on the puppy.
so i will be having an open garage to any one that wishes to come by and lend a hand on the 13th to the 15th.
The will be endless tea/coffee biscuit and a bbq! I anyone needs some panels of the are old doner beetle then this would be a good time to come do some chopping!!!
If any one has an impact driver this would be brillent as we are having turble getting the doors off the other beetle!!
Any help would be total aprecated and we would be making history if we could get it there for bug jam!!!

| Right i think this is the list of things that need doing on the beetle, most of them a little jobs and should take to long( i hope ) Finish the welding on the inside of the bug Cut and fit O/S rear gutter cut and weld N/s piller fit rear brakes blead brakes cut and fit o/s dash remove and fit bonnet mech remove and fit boot mech mount headlights mount rear lights mount indicators remove door and cut and weld level roof finish grinding find some studing for the engine/gearbox mount Just a small list How ever does any one have a 36mm socket or spaner for the rear castle nut and a impact driver so i can remover the door from the donner car? Anyone that is intrested in coming i will have a bbq on saturday, endless tea/coffee and biscuits. PM me for my post code and it will be easy to find then. take care guy and thanks in advance for coming!! | |

| Right as the van had to go back in to the garage that ment the masochist had to get out and go to steves.
We had a really good day.....got all the brake on and bled......and the we even got all the loom working and fired the engine up!!!
the first time in this car!!
so we took it for a spin in the field and it was great to final drive it and for me the first time i had driven a beetle!
so next to be towed to steve with the brand new empi beetle tow bar...........
