Ehm, What am I doing to the bug? Been a "work in progress" for the last 18 years! since bristol last year, I went self employed and had to use the bug as a daily, and just before i got the van, one of the carbs decided to self ignite on the top road! ( poor timing and diabolicle fuel settings were the cause of that!) recently I've made the decision to go down the classic cal look route, de-chromed, one piece windows, slammed, classic porsche wheels ( buying at freeze ) pastel paint! and i've already got a "period" engine, so smiles all round. hopefully be going to the prom cruise if i get the bloody thing put back together, half tempted to change the passenger floor, but not sure if i can be arsed yet.

Get the back end up!!! Don't listen to everyone else on here, their minds have been warped by too many years of negative camber!!!
OG paint and a big old engine is the way to go!!!

I like both back end down or up is cool to me as i love tans bug minty so both cool in my eyes

Had to take the coilovers of the back for the mot, so i put some nice KYB GR2's on instead, Totally undriveable, raised it by 1 spline, now its lush, goes round corners like its on rails! WEEWAAWOOWAA!

Al has been driving that Bug round for years...........he used to be in the old club, Weston Super Air.....

18 Years this july Al, Jesus do i feel old! Last time i was out in it was on saturday, drove down to the hornets in it, clutch slipping like a bitch though, leaky rear oil seal!

I still own my 1st bug ... Bought her in '89 & took 2 years to get her on the road, as she was an un-finished project when I bought her for the sum of £500
She's definately the produce of the late 80's / early 90's scene, with Empi 8's, shaved door handles & smooth dash ... although she's going to be getting a re-resto & facelift as soon as I've finished The Babylon & then Sharon's 'Vamp'

Here's a pic of her recently looking a touch shabby , although started to change the look with the BRMs
