Well my tyre chap is spot on, been doing the job 30 years etc, trust him implicitly, and he;s fitted these sets tons of times and he's puzzled (and annoyed) as he cant understand why when you inflate them (they sit on the bead ok) they start coming away even though they're properly lubed/stuck and he wonders if it is the innder lip of my wheel deisgn whioch might be forcing them up and out... mega merga dissappointed.

... however he has a split screen on 14's and he may have them for himself, but still annoying, as he says he's had a set of these on a bay before... grrr.

I expect you've got a small rim protector on the tyre dude, check em in the bin anyway, they'll be fecked first time you get close to a kerb anyways!
I fitted andy's (soabox), they were atlas ones and took ages but they stayed put eventually.

I had to fit the ones on brian about 4 times .....before i got them spot on .....haven;t had any trouble since ......must be your tyres dude ......gutted for you

.... yeah it wasnt meant to be eh, I was SO ecxcited about having them on, I even missed my lunch break so they could have the van their at lunch.... ahh (sigh) at least I have a back up option at bay area rods. Peaved about losing the dosh tho. Knew I shoulda followed my hunch and not bothered with them.

Cheers guys, it does look spot on and I was amazed I managed to do it in under 2hrs (and do it properly as well), especially with a hangover. Its come a long way aint it, from just a stripped out van interior to what it is now. Next job is to make a leatherette panel for the rear door, and paint gloss black, then have a think about the roof lining....

... Rich, do you remember when I dropped it off to yours a few years ago full of parts/bikes/ladders/glass/doors/rubbish and you could barely get into the thing, haha, big difference eh.

Just re read the whole thread (theres a first), I can quite belive how much went into this van, again, just a huge thanks to those involved, couldnt have done it without ya.

It's awesome and a SWEET looking bay buddy... And you've managed to hold on to it for SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO long now as well...

I cheated a bit, needs todying up but looks very presentable.

..... ahh more gangster than that mate, it's old skool tyre paint courtesy of cliff, looks better in the flesh, I took the oics in a rush as I was desperate to go out for a cruise.

p.s. took me between 8hrs and 10hrs, 4 coats per wheel, with a very fine brush and a lot of patience.
