| this afternoon i decided to strip down the bugs engine (ive been feelin like crap cos of this flu bug for a week & today was the 1st time i felt upto it!)   As expected by the amount of smoke it was producing, 2 cylinders had broken rings  & so the bores/pistons were scuffed & beat all to f*ck! tomorrow i plan to split the case, clean it out, fit new crank/cam bearings & slap it all back together with new gaskets throughout | |

| im gonna put the 1641 b&p's on it cos thats all ive got to hand! Also loosing the heat exchangers & fitting the econopack that i got from dubfreeze & possibly going to a twin choke webber or kads. That'll do & should be a grunty old thing until i can save up for a bigger complete unit!  | |

| not on the road for my birthday but still goin for it for the end of month meet. Engine rebuild is 95% done (just tidying the tinware & puttin the ancillaries back on) Brakes.....95% So close to legal now i can taste it!!  | |
