Bit of an impulse buy, but its on the road t/t, full stamped service history, no nasties underneath, immaculate interior, new fuel lines and filler neck, I'm tempted to build up a set of sportier heads and pop my webber from the golf onto it... But it's still 100% stock, even down to the shit stereo!

well I'm torn - I'll put some new speakers in if I can hide them, and I've half a mind to put it on scala snowflake wheels so it still looks standard...

As far as the mods etc go id Agree that's it's your car so do what you want to it, however I'd try to make sure it could be returned to stock if you or someone else wished.

I think £1400 isn't too bad tbh, considering how long you've been driving.

Always liked these cars but never owned one. First mod i'd make is fit a Weber carb..... Ditch the Pierberg. = more power, smoother, and better fuel consumption.

Next get it on its arse with some banded steels. That is all that needs to be done to these

There's a brand new weber on the golf that will fit, I just need to set it up properly... Touch wood the pierburg fitted is ok at the moment!

As for slamming - never say never but it's so comfy! I did Brighton - Weston non stop and didnt cripple my back!

Thanks for all the nice comments guys, I've got a few bits to do on it;
• missing wheel trim ring
• bonnet stay clip missing, I'll rob the golf!
• tidy the doors and do a drivers door pin
• stereo system - anyone recommend a head unit that looks 80's?
• play with the sunroof
• do the head gasket, for my own peace of mind!

But that's just me being picky with stuff!
