Time to get the new bearings on and rebuild the crank.

Heating the gears up makes them expand ever so slightly...

Sometimes a good whack with a huge piece of bar adds peace of mind!

And here we have a finished crank, ready to mount
Did you copy that straight out of the haynes manual, then just add your own pics?! lol!
People could probably follow that and do it themselves!... scratch Do the same with the last bits of welding! I could then just hire the welder out!

Dave could tell you more, but i believe it's a stateside motor that came in Daves '66. He blew it on the way to RTTS last year. It's effectively a stock 1600, we cant even find Daves 009 distributor for it. Still, it will have a fairly awesome soundin exhaust.

I have no idea who's idea it was to paint the thing red though. Shouldnt look too out of place in a green car! geek

The 009 is no where to be found! No But we do have a stock distributer, and Sid has found some spare cylinder studs! All going well, it should be in and running saturday!

Today Sid has managed to drop and smash the headlight lense! The one we've already had to replace! Evil or Very Mad Hopefully we'll be able to pick one up at Slough!
