Fuck me, that was 'restored' late 80's/early 90's then!!

affraid

It seems the standard of work people put into restos these days are of an infinately higher expectation.
Glad to see you are saving a Big though bud, I reckon 'Fat Chicks' are the next Big Thing.

Old School Cal Looks are cool, I quite like late model proper Lookers....

Little bit more interesting
[imHUGO THE 72 DSCN1055g]

no bolts to remove as there wernt any Rolling Eyes
[/imHUGO THE 72 DSCN1056g]
napolians hat was welded to the other bit.dont know what its called.
[imHUGO THE 72 DSCN1058g
So that was the body off.F@ck that was heavy.
Belive it or not this bug was still LEGAL in march this year.HOW..
][/imHUGO THE 72 DSCN1099g]
so how did the mot man miss that.mabe he was pissed or blind Very Happy
How about this perfect welding..i pulled the cross member off with a gentle tug

My new storage area
[imHUGO THE 72 DSCN1066g]
At first the frame head didnt look to bad
[/iHUGO THE 72 DSCN1071mg]
then we too k off the beam.gearbox ect
[iHUGO THE 72 DSCN1089mg]
We had to cut out this bit it looked like it needed investigating
[/iHUGO THE 72 DSCN1092mg]
to discover
[imHUGO THE 72 DSCN1091g]
[/iHUGO THE 72 DSCN1088mg]
So i off to get some new bits.well actualy lots of new bits.
i have a massive pile of work carried out by the last 2 previous owners.carried out by so called vw profesionals in Poole dorset.all i can say is if that is the standard of work people pays hundreds for.then im in the wrong game.

Mot was carried out by Pottery Services in Parkstone the year before and again this year...this bug should have been condemd.(sorry i cant spell.)
Still never mind i suppose you should expect the worst with a bug.then things can only get better.and there cant be any more suprises as weve stripped the guts out of him now.all ready for a good wire wheeling.inside and out.will start work on the chassis over the next weekend.and im trying to get next week out of work.to give us a headstart.
