my new mk1

i bought this the weekend this is my new mk1 golf gti been rather busy on it today doing a few things

heres a couple of pics
this is what it was like when i got it








and this is what ive been up to today zinc primed the engine bay and inner arches





and then painted it red


fitted the door cards and new window mechanisms




put the windows in



fitted a taigate out of my collection



and gave it a polish

yeah im praying at the mo that the weather is good 2moz no boddy say it isnt i wont be happy

nope i rang him at 5:30 and he had just left the guys house with the bay so definately swapped, duies definately gone but he said looks slightly different from photo but near enough. He likes it so must be nice cant wait to see it

so is he back yet or still on the road

went to the car boot today and bought this roofrack £4 bargain i thought



and fitted some bits and bobs back into the engine bay

I waved at the golf on friday bud we saw it on the back of the transporter thought it must of been yours there was a blue car on the back as well..

he picked the blue one up from yorkshire that morning to take to bristol

Brilliant colour, my all time golf mk1 fave colour that. great thread dude.

done abit maore today will take pics 2moz if i remember im liking it to now

fitted me front panel tuesday its getting there

done some more wednesday looking better shudnt be long now

got me front panel in primer
and me wings





then fitted them:lol!:





then painted them red

looking good!!

got me new wishbones fitted and the front suspentionjust waiting for me brake disks







and stripped my engine ready for painting and servicing

it aint nowere near droolable

well managed to get some things done but wasnt what i wanted to acheive today i wanted it all back to gether but ive been pulled left right and centre so not been able to get on with my jobs
