unsual sort of question, is there anywhere I can look up a list of nuts, bolts, clips et al needed to refit a 1.8L engine into a golf mk1 - I'm hoping I can get sizes and order them seperately?

| Try VW dealer first, but dont hold your breath.
If you know exactly what nuts / clips / etc you need then try Mk1 golf owners club. Theres normally people on there who can get there hands on all sorts of obsolete parts | |

| Which clips are you short of? Most of the nuts / bolts used on VW's are just 13mm, 15mm, 17mm and 19mm.

| Let me get it in weston, then yes, I may take you up on that, I learnt at secondary school four/five years ago, did a little on 4mm steel for a college project about 2 years ago so lessons would be good before I blow holes in panels... ..angle grinders however  In other news...anyone got a trailer I can beg/borrow/steal for a day please? | |
