PostSubject: Hard Start Relay   Thu Apr 19, 2007 9:01 pm

As I few of you know I occasionally *cough* have trouble starting Hugo and usually get a few volunteers *ahem* to help push.

In fact this has happened a lot over the last year. lol!

So I decided to fix the problem properly, once and for all, by fitting a hard start relay. (For those of you who dont know, this little 40amp relay takes pressure of your ignition switch and all the crap wiring, as it only requires 1amp (through your ignition switch) to activate the relay rather than the usual 30+amps)

I got it from Cool Air for 12.95 with free P&P

Put the car on ramps this evening, took about an hour to fit from start to finish and Hugo fired up first time. geek

I also this week wired in an isolator switch to my second fuse box, to stop my battery being drained by stereo etc when the car is garaged.

I have also ordered an accelerator pedal repair kit and hinge from Cool Air as mine is hanging off the floor. (hopefully this will arrive and be done in time for CTTP)
