matt paint is horendous to paint, as you cannot have any shit in the paint as you are unable to flat and polish the paint.

the problem with wanting someone who knows vw's and has painted loads of them before is that tend to be a lot dearer as they have had their fingers burnt before. i had 3 bodyshops refuse to do my van so had to go to a camper specialist in the end.

j & w in bridgwater (link on page 1) Do alot of vws including campers.heres a couple of pics of there work.they resprayed my golf about 5 years ago. its been used as our daily driver ever since and is just started to show a couple of rust bubbles on the front edge of the bonnet from stone chips.

I'm shocked they look spot on.
J&W did my van about three years ago, it cost me almost 2k and it was shit. so if you do go with them be fussy and ask for a top job and not just a blow over. mine looks rushed although they did an amazing job on rebuilding my wheel arches.
