| I think that for a 1 Day show, prices kept low will entice people, and as kate says, if peeps want to give more thats fine. Your idea of getting every one to enter show and shine is really good, but think that it should be judged by a few select peeps, even pick 1 person from each club you know will be present. Then when you anounce te results you can gie out Reg numbers and car / bus details instead of a number. In all the whole show is wicked, and every one seemed to enjoy it. Entertainment doesnt need to be on site really, as your on a beach, with tons of things for kids to do. Will say, i think the LOW price for a day event will draw more peeps in! _________________ Slam it, Rat it, add some bling then Run it!

I have had a read through and come up with these thoughts. i) We need to make up some little signs, both for finding the meeting point and for the entry on to the lawns. ii) How about using the lawn that was going to be used as the overflow (the one between our and the one with the train on it) as the field for club stands? We are however going to have to either limit the number of cars per club or work out how many cars we can get on there and take it form there. iii) The clubstand needs to be really prominent next year. I like the suggestion of a little stage, maybe sort out a small PA system with some tunes etc iv) I think we need an a stand with another banner for the club etc like the VW dealership one had. v) I personally do not like the idea of the 'suggested donation'. We didn't have it as a suggested donation last year. How many other shows have a suggested fee to get in?? We lost out on around £700 this year. 450 x £5 = £2250, we only raised abound about £1500. vi) I will see if we can close off the access roads next year, I know it was suggested this year but to be honest I forgot. vii) Do we want to retain the cruise? Would it be better now for the DBS to concentrate on the show on the lawns and get some other clubs to organise the cruises in. I was thinking KDC, EAC and Wilts Aircooled. viii) If we do retain the cruise as part of the event we should ensure there are facilities there, ie toilets and bacon rolls, tea etc ix) We need collectors there for the duration of the day. x) Signs need to be made up for the entrance/entrances (seperate entrance for club stands). xi) Should we consider St Johns Ambulance being asked to come along? xii) Show and shine should still be everyone I think and called Peoples choice too. If we don't have it as a self judging who should we choose to be judges. Would it be fairer to say DBS cars are excluded and so we could sort out judging ourselves? _________________

Fantastic show, can't think of anythingelse to add, maybe a band playing drums? they don't take any space and they could be playing while people are waiting for the prize giving presentation. v) agree, but people can give more if they want to, a few did on Sunday I had a bug with 5 fellas in, they got a bargain £1 each! vii) I like the idea of the cruise, different to most of the other show. if you drop the cruise, people will expect more on the day on the lawn? xi) St Johns ambulance there, can only be a good thing but not sure if they charge for that. xii) I like to keep it people choices, maybe we could have a reason box aswell on the form to why they selected that particular vehicles to win I will be back next year

I'm a qualified appointed person first aider if thats of any use?! If so - please make sure noone hurts themself as I don't like blood! I could just sit there with sun cream?! I'm 99% sure that 07 and 08 CTTP's were both a suggested donation of £5 per car but the content has disappeared from last years website. Definately need to make better access to the laws, really wasn't nice to watch (and hear!!) the cars going down the curb.

Had a great day, just a few of my own feeling regarding the comments, £5 is a perfect fee its not a lot for a day out, if you don't pay park elsewhere Its £4 for 4hrs on beachfront and that goes to the council, I'd rather give my money to charity, but disapointed to know people snuck in(scrooges), Maybe a ticket to put in the window?,but at least man the other entrances. It needs the cruise or it wouldn't be cruise to the prom! Unity Farm were a little erratic with there prices. Club Plots if poss not sure how you could do this, but its nice to be together, due to the 2 lanes merging at start of cruise our club got split up, this was a little niggling as we got there early to get a good spot. Looking forward to next year. LilyBug, BathAir-Cooled.

Hi Lilly. Thanks for the feedback. Agreed, Unity Farm did seem a bit all over the shop with their pricing. We will ensure we negotiate a set price for next year. People coming in and not paying cost the charities £700 between them, again, I will look into helping prevent this next year. We could set aside one lawn for club parking on a first come, first served basis. I think this would be book in advance. We need to check out the capacity of the lawn that was used as overflow. This lawn would have it's own entrance too. The cruise (in one form or another) will remain from the other feedback I have received. Glad you enjoyed the day. _________________
